Regin found a new way to keep customers warm with PIM.

Customer case Regin

In order to automate a property's indoor climate in a comfortable and cost-effective way, the right equipment for the right building is required. Therefore, Regin offers a wide range of solutions in property automation. However, in order for customers to easily find the right products, correct, relevant, and searchable product information is also required. With the help of Inriver's PIM platform and our consulting services, Regin has managed to create just that - a digital product experience that simplifies both selection and purchase.

A system change was needed.

One of Regin's most important sales tools is the webshop and product catalog, where customers should be able to easily find the products they need. The existing system for product information was primarily designed for creating printed materials.

As the online store became more important as a source of information for customers, it became clear that the existing system could not serve as a basis for developing Regin's digital business.

A smooth heart transplantation.

After conducting a pre-study together with Cypoint to clarify the needs, the decision was made to implement Inriver's PIM. However, for most companies, it was not a simple operation to switch from one PIM to another, especially when dealing with such a wide product catalog as Regin's. It was somewhat like a heart transplant for Regin. But with the guidance of Cypoint and our expertise in Inriver PIM and complex integration work, along with innovative project resources within Regin, the project was successfully completed. The new PIM was connected to the website and the business system, and the old one could be shut down.

Faster and with better control.

Implementing a modern PIM has resulted in Regin's product data becoming more consistent and better structured, making it easier for customers to order the right product for the right property. Beneath the surface and for Regin's internal processes, Inriver's PIM has been a minor revolution, creating significant efficiency gains. The time-to-market for products has been dramatically reduced, from several days to now happening instantly. Regin has also gained new opportunities to develop the product page on its website in a different way thanks to their well-structured data, with a more secure lifecycle for their articles. The connection to the business system where the articles are created works so that the information is automatically transferred to Inriver PIM and all sales channels.

Future-proof solution.

With the new EU regulations regarding Digital Product Passport, a well-functioning PIM is extremely important for companies like Regin. There are no shortcuts when it comes to meeting the need to trace every component in every product from start to finish.

Inriver's PIM also has a modern print module that helps Regin with their printed catalogs that their salespeople still use. Something that they now do without external agency help. One could almost say that they use PIM to keep customers warm, both in a figurative and literal sense.
